Red Pump Kitchen Wine Program
Since Red Pump Kitchen’s opening in 2014, we have worked to establish ourselves as a can’t miss destination for connoisseurs of both fine cuisine and wine. We are honored to receive the “Award of Excellence” by Wine Spectator Magazine for the second year in a row. Every year, Wine Spectator honors restaurants “whose wine lists typically offer at least 90 selections, feature a well-chosen assortment of quality producers, along with a thematic match to the menu in both price and style.”
Ever wonder how we choose our wines here at Red Pump Kitchen? Our wine selections are hand-picked to complement the Mediterranean influence of our cuisine, focusing on Italian, French, and Spanish offerings while representing California and the burgeoning Virginia wine industry. The by-the-glass program focuses on quality and value with selections that are constantly changing. Offering value in the wine list is important to us, especially in our Reserve List. Our brick-walled wine cellar is temperature and humidity controlled to ensure optimal conditions for each and every bottle sold.
From our Friday Night Flights program to our Sunday Selects and Rosé All Day Summer specials, Red Pump Kitchen’s wine program continues to grow year after year. Every Friday evening, we hand select six wines from our Wine Spectator-approved list to assemble a flight of wines for guests to compare and contrast, pitting two regions against each other. In addition to our Friday Night Flights program, Red Pump also offers Sunday Selects where we select a handful of our favorite wines and offer them at half off of the bottle price. During the summer months, our Rosé All Day specials allow guests to select a flight of two or four rosé specials hand-selected by our expert wine team.
