Fall Cooking Classes

Back by popular demand, Red Pump Kitchen is thrilled to extend our 2019 Summer Cooking Class Series through the Fall! Drawing on our Tuscan and Italian inspired fare, the interactive class will highlight our farm-to-table philosophy. Whether you’re a seasoned chef or a culinary curious foodie, our signature cooking classes are fit for any level of experience. Following a hands-on demonstration, guests will sit down together to enjoy the fruits (er, carbs) of their labor! See below for a taste of our new cooking class schedule and to sign up today.

FALL 2019 COOKING CLASS SCHEDULE

Sunday, September 15th: Pizza 101

In this hands-on cooking class, you will learn the secrets behind Red Pump’s perfect dough – it’s all about the crust to us – light and airy that’s crispy yet chewy! This recipe is sure to be tucked into your recipe archives (and passed down) for years to come. You’ll also sharpen your knife skills as you learn to properly chop and prep veggies. You’ll top off the pizza with delicious pork sausage. Red Pump’s wine team will school you in how to pair wines with pizza – perhaps a Super Tuscan blend or a smooth, aged Tempranillo.

Sunday, October 20th: Perfecting Chicken Parmesan

Transport your taste buds to Italy as you learn how to perfect chicken parmesan! In this class Chef Brandon Ripberger will show you how to master the art of Red Pump’s chicken parm – the Italian way. Utilizing the freshest ingredients available, we’ll learn how to make a homemade marinara sauce to top off the dish. And, the best part is that you don’t need any fancy equipment so you can easily make this fan-favorite recipe again (and again) at home. Following the interactive cooking demo, Red Pump’s wine team will school you in how to pair wines with chicken parmesan, perhaps a Lambrusco or any full-bodied white.

Sunday, November 17th: Cocktails & Canapés

Just in time for the holiday season, join us as we make cocktails and canapés in the Red Pump Kitchen. Master some of our favorite small bites that are perfect to serve (and impress!) as you gather around the table during the upcoming holiday season. Bar Manager Forrest LeJeune will school you in making signature holiday cocktails to serve alongside canapés at upcoming holiday parties.

Sunday, December 8th: Knead to Know Gnocchi

Light as a feather, our made-from-scratch pillowy dumplings are bites of perfection. In this hands-on cooking class, you will learn our Chef’s secret to making no-fail ricotta gnocchi that is fun and delicious for fall. We’ll learn how to dress it up or down as we create two different sauces: an oyster mushroom crème fraîche and a simple Italian salsa verde.
