Friday Night Flights

Join us at Red Pump Kitchen on Friday evenings to try six wines from our Wine Spectator-approved list on our Friday Night Flight. Each month, we’ll assemble a flight of wines for guests to compare and contrast, pitting two regions against each other. For the month of July, the Monticello AVA (American Viticultural Area) of Virginia will be squaring off against the Loire Valley AOC (Appellations d’Origine Contrôlées) of France. The Monticello Wine Trail is located within the Monticello AVA of Virginia, containing many popular wineries, including our sister property Pippin Hill Farm & Vineyards. The Loire Valley is known as the “Garden of France” and is home to over 4,000 distinguished wineries. Come taste these regional wines for yourself and be sure to let us know which region you think “won!”

This July, test your palate and enjoy:

Thibault-Janisson Extra Brut vs. Langlois Cremant de Loire

Glen Manor Sauvignon Blanc vs. Francois le Saint “Calcaire” Sancerre

Michael Shaps Cabernet Franc vs. Fabrice Gasnier “Le Grave” Cabernet Franc
